What Is Official Source Identification?

It is an approach that classifies sources as official or external based on the domain relationships of registered brands. This note treats official source identification in terms of the responsibilities of input, transformation, and output rather than as a feature name. To trust an analysis result, it must be possible to trace what material was provided, what was verified, and how far the conclusions can go.

Why Is This Technology Needed?

Mistaking similarly named sites and media citations for official specifications changes accountability. String similarity is not domain ownership.

Design Principles and Data Flow

Define the approved host scope, then check URL safety and brand relationships separately. Do not delete external sources; retain them separately.

Brand domain → Source host verification → Official/external separation

Each stage should not describe the success of the preceding stage as the outcome of the next. Recording material identifiers, time periods, and verification status together makes it possible to locate where omissions and errors occurred and determine what needs to be checked again.

Connection to the SAG Architecture

SAG citations classify official sources using brand domains and the hosts of registered pages. The difference between official and external materials can be checked in the table.

SAG’s operational value lies in connecting these relationships to pages and questions, comparison results, and improvement work. Instead of reading only numbers, customers can review both what needs to be strengthened and the grounds for a decision. Patterns that require additional application should be interpreted based on the scope of the relevant paragraph.

Illustrative Example and Criteria for Assessment

Even if an illustrative news article mentions a product, the news host is external. The official citation rate can be calculated only by separately counting whether the official product URL was actually cited.

The example above is provided to explain the structure and calculation; it is not measured performance for any particular customer. In an actual report, the selected period, scope, observation conditions, and original records must be linked so that the same assessment can be checked again.

Practical Verification Checklist

Flow stageWhat to check
Brand domainConfirm approved domains
Source host verificationReview the product–company relationship
Official/external separationRetain external original sources

Check that the same meaning is preserved not only with valid inputs but also with missing, duplicate, and differently conditioned materials. Linking verification items to the criteria for completing work can reduce the gap between feature descriptions and actual operations.

Limitations and Points to Consider in Application

Official domains may also contain outdated claims. The recency of sources for regional and acquired brands, as well as product-specific sources, requires additional review.

Research and Official Documentation

External materials provide background on the design topics above; they do not certify every SAG implementation or customer outcome. The application interpretation and illustrative example in this note are organized around SAG’s operational structure. Materials checked: 2026-10-06.
